What to Expect Before and After Your Treatment

Botox/Dysport Post Treatment Instructions

  • Refrain from straining, heavy lifting, or vigorous exercise for at least 4 hours after injections with neurotoxins including Botox and Dysport. It takes 2 hours for the product to bind to the nerve terminal. Increasing circulation may inadvertently move the botulinum toxin from where it was injected.
  • Do not lie head down flat, or lay on side, or touch or rub treated areas for 3 hours.
  • Avoid wearing hats or headbands for 4 hours after the treatment.
  • Avoid the use of Retin-A or similar products (ex. Kinerase, Tazarac) 2 days after treatment to avoid increased irritation or redness.
  • Avoid cosmetic treatments to face for 2 weeks after injection with wrinkle relaxers.
  • Please report to your injector if you have any increase in pain, swelling, redness, blisters, or itching after your treatment.
  • Expect a mild headache for less than 48 hours if this is your first-time using neurotoxins. You can take acetaminophen (Tylenol), or ibuprofen (Motrin) for the headache.
  • The treatment can take from 3-14 days for full correction or improvement. If you need additional units, we recommend seeing your injector 2-3 weeks later for touch up. After 3 weeks, we prefer you wait until you have full movement (usually 3 months).
  • Please email us at niceneedlespa@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Procell Microchanneling Post Treatment Instructions

Microchanneling temporarily creates hundreds of thousands of microchannels into the skin to be “filled” with new healthy collagen. It also allows topical solutions to absorb up to 300% more effectively. During treatment, serums applied (containing naturally derived growth factors, peptides, and cytokines) restore and amplify biological communication during the wound healing cascade that an aging immune system no longer provides.

A perfect balance of gentle stimulation of your skin produces “wound healing” without a wound, complimented by the infusion of nutritious and vital factors responsible for helping you produce your best skin.

After treatment, please remember the following…

  • Do not apply anything to the treated area for 90 minutes after your treatment is finished unless it is provided to you by your treatment provider and according to their instructions.
  • Do not touch or rub the treatment area with your hands, cell phone, or any other object for 90 minutes after your treatment is finished. It could lead to allergic reaction or acne breakouts.
  • Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours post treatment. You may apply sunblock 90 minutes after treatment is finished.
  • Hydrate and moisturize your skin to achieve the best results. Never let your skin dry out.
  • Drinking lots of water is the least expensive and most powerful advantage you can add to your skincare routine.
  • Apply Post-Care Cellular Renewal & Healing Accelerator Serum for the best results. Starting the morning after treatment, thoroughly cleanse treated areas and apply Cellular Renewal Serum (Step 1). Then, wait 30 seconds and apply Healing Accelerator Serum (Step 2). Wait for serums to fully absorb before applying any other product to the treated area. These serums require direct contact with skin to be effective. Perform these steps in the morning and before bed.
